Zero for Twelve Months, and Then a Blank
Honest resident agent representation in Massachusetts for $99/year. Includes the address used on filings, same-day scanning of legal mail, and reminders for state deadlines.
An argument built on price transparency ought to begin by being transparent about its author. Massachusetts Registered Agent.co wrote this and sells the $99 service in the second column of the table below. Because the case rests entirely on what is published against what is not, no unpublished figure is guessed at anywhere on the page.
Twelve Free Months, Verified
Inc Authority provides registered agent service at no charge for a year alongside its formation packages. We checked the offer for the qualifications such deals usually carry, a setup fee, a shorter effective term, a condition reclaiming the value on cancellation, and found none of them stated. The free year is what it says it is. For a Massachusetts business absorbing a $500 formation fee in the same quarter, removing a required cost from that month is worth having.
After That, No Number Is Given
Inc Authority's public material does not state a renewal rate for agent service. A July 2026 pass covered the package pages, the frequently asked questions, and the home page, and none of them carries the figure. In this market that ordinarily means the price is delivered at the order form or over the phone.
Supplying a substitute number would defeat the point being made, so we will not supply one. The observation is structural instead. Agent service is a permanent expense, so the renewal is the price that describes it, and a renewal held back until the moment of purchase removes the only figure that would let you compare providers while you are still choosing between them.

Two Numbers, Both Legible Now
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order Here$99 to start and $99 at each renewal, both stated on the pricing page before an order is placed. Around them: service of process scanned at our Massachusetts office the day it arrives, email notification alongside it, one product at checkout, our street address on the public resident agent line, and reminders before the anniversary on which this state's $500 annual report ($520 electronically) falls due.
The limit of our claim, stated rather than buried: BetterLegal publishes $90 a year, and that is below us. The defensible version is narrower. Our $99 falls in the cheap end of published Massachusetts rates, and both of its years are legible today, before any money changes hands.
A Free Year Is Not a Cheap Decade
Run the comparison across the life of the entity rather than across the first twelve months. Our column totals $990 over ten years. The other column totals nothing, plus a figure nobody has printed, multiplied by nine. That is not a rhetorical flourish. It is a fair description of the information available to a buyer at the moment of decision.
Exiting While the Year Is Still Free
Massachusetts lets you go for nothing. The Statement of Change of Resident Agent/Resident Office is free when filed electronically through the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Corporations Division; on paper it is $25, and no window restricts the date you pick. Because the form has to name the incoming agent, appoint the replacement before filing and leave the old account open until your entity record displays the new name, so the seat is never unoccupied for a day. The steps are set out on our change of agent page.
